MENA Newswire News Desk: Saudi Arabia has set a new record for poultry meat production in the first half of 2024, underscoring its ongoing efforts to enhance national food security. The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture announced a total production of 558 million kilograms of poultry meat, representing a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The ministry attributed the success to the implementation of rigorous biosecurity measures within poultry projects and the promotion of modern production technologies.

The Agricultural Development Fund has also been instrumental in providing financing support, covering up to 70% of the investment costs for companies adopting these advanced technologies. This has contributed to expanding production capacity and driving growth in the poultry sector. Saudi Arabia’s strategy aims not only to increase domestic production but also to secure national food resources and create new job opportunities. By focusing on self-sufficiency, the Kingdom is positioning itself as a leader in agricultural development in the region.
